Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

METATHESIS: Journal of English Language, Literature, and Teaching accepts articles which have not been published or are under consideration elsewhere.

To be considered for publication, manuscripts should be:

  • typed in MS Word doc. format
  • using 12 size Times New Roman fonts
  • 1-spaced on quarto or A4-size paper
  • 10-20 pages in length

Articles will be reviewed by subject reviewers, while the editors reserve the right to edit articles for format consistency without altering the substance.

Level one headings are typed in Sentence case, bold, left justification

Level two headings are typed in Capital-lowercase, Bold, Left Justification

Level three headings are typed in Capitals- lowercase, Italic-bold, Left Justification

Research-based articles should contain: 
  • Title
  • Full name of contributor(s) without title(s)
  • Abstract (max. 200 words)
  • Keywords
  • Introduction
  • Review of related literature
  • Method
  • Findings and Discussion
  • Conclusions and Suggestions
  • References
  • Appendix, if any.

The introduction is without heading and includes reviews of related literature and research purpose in essay style.

The list of references includes only those that are cited/referred to in the article.

The references should be presented alphabetically and chronologically, and be written in accordance with the APA style.

 

The submission process should be done through OJS by doing registration. 

The information deals with the article will be communicated through email.

 

 



 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is 1.5-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

  1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License. (CC BY-SA) that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
  2. Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.
  3.
