Peer Review Process

Publication of articles in ABDIPRAJA (Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat) is dependent solely on scientific validity and coherence as judged by our editors and/or peer reviewers, who will also assess whether the writing is comprehensible and whether the work represents a useful contribution to the field. ABDIPRAJA (Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat) acknowledged the effort and suggestions made by its reviewers. 

Initial evaluation of manuscripts

The Editor will first evaluate all manuscripts submitted. Although rare, yet it is entirely feasible for an exceptional manuscript to be accepted at this stage. Those rejected at this stage are insufficiently original, have serious scientific flaws, or are outside the aims and scope of the ABDIPRAJA. Those that meet the minimum criteria are passed on to experts for review.

Type of peer review

Submitted manuscripts will generally be reviewed by two to three experts who will be asked to evaluate whether the manuscript is scientifically sound and coherent, whether it duplicates the already published works, and whether or not the manuscript is sufficiently clear for publication.

Review reports

Reviewers are asked to evaluate whether the manuscript:

• Is original by stating the objectives and gap clearly
• Is methodologically sound
• Follows appropriate ethical guidelines
• Has results/findings which are clearly presented and support the conclusions
• Correctly references previous relevant work
• Reviewers are not expected to correct or copyedit manuscripts. Language correction is not part of the peer review process.

Decision

Reviewers advise the editor, who is responsible for the final decision to accept or reject the article. The Editors will reach a decision based on these reports and, where necessary, they will consult with members of the Editorial Board. Editor’s decision is final.

ABDIPRAJA (Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat) is a peer-reviewed journal. This statement clarifies ethical behaviour of all parties involved in the act of publishing an article in this journal, including the author, the chief editor, the Editorial Board, the peer-reviewer and the publisher (Faculty of Education and Teachers Training, Universitas Tidar). This statement is based on COPE’s Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.

Ethical Guideline for Journal Publication

The publication of a peer-reviewed article in of ABDIPRAJA (Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat) is an essential building block in the development of a coherent and respected network of knowledge. It is a direct reflection of the quality of the work of the authors and the institutions that support them. Peer-reviewed articles support and embody the scientific method. It is therefore important to agree upon standards of expected ethical behavior for all parties involved in the act of publishing: the author, the journal editor, the peer reviewer, the publisher, and the society.

Every accepted paper will be published online and in print. 

*If your paper is accepted for publication and you need a printed of journal, you will be asked to pay an Articel Publication Fee to cover printed publication costs (200000.00 IDR)

Plagiarism Check

All new submissions to ABDIPRAJA (Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat) are screened for plagiarism using editorial and reviewer system.
