Abstract

Abstract

Quality and qualified education can keep up with the demands in accordance with the times and be able to compete with the environment. Changes and improvements that occur in the world of education due to the dynamics that occur in the environment to face challenges and progress according to developments, will affect the implementation of learning in schools. Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. PBL is one of the innovative learning models that can provide active learning conditions to students. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Learning Model to Improve Student Learning Outcomes in Evolutionary Materials. This research is a class action research (CAR). The research subjects were class XII IPA 2 students, totaling 29 students in the Odd Semester Evolution material for the 2021/2022 Academic Year. The data collection technique used consisted of observation and tests. The learning outcomes obtained by students in the first cycle were 72.4%, and 96.5% in the second cycle. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the application of the problem based learning (PBL) learning model to evolutionary material can improve student learning outcomes.
