PENDAMPINGAN KEGIATAN BUDIDAYA KOMODITAS AIR TAWAR PADA KELOMPOK PEMBUDIDAYA IKAN “PONDASI” DI DESA PONDOKKELOR, KECAMATAN PAITON, KABUPATEN PROBOLINGGO

Abstract

This community service aimed to assist beginner fish cultivators in improving management skills in fish farming in Pondokkelor Village, Paiton District, Probolinggo Regency. The “Pondasi” cultivator group or “Pondokkelor Muda Berkreasi” has a focus on cultivating freshwater commodities. The commodities cultivated were koi fish (Cyprinus carpio) and Daphnia sp. Activities were also accompanied by providing training on fish farming. This was to motivate members of cultivators to develop their creativity and entrepreneurship to increase their income. The obstacle faced was the lack of ability of cultivators, especially for those who were beginners in managing cultivation, especially in the human resources theirs. This assistance included sharing on the concept of fish farming management based on good fish cultivation methods, so that the cultivation activities carried out can run well and had the high productivity for the cultivated commodities, it has an impact on developing opportunities, business and increase their income. The methods used in this service activity include site surveys, socialization, and assistance by holding mentoring activities on how to manage aquaculture to achieve "sustainable aquaculture". The results of the assistance were in the form of monitoring the development of service activities through activity reports. Further development was needed by way of empowerment both in terms of facilities and human resources.
