UJI KINERJA IRIGASI MENGGUNAKAN POMPA KINCIR TENAGA AIR DI SUNGAI GENDING DESA BONDOWOSO KECAMATAN MERTOYUDAN KABUPATEN MAGELANG
Abstract
The people of Gedongan Hamlet, utilize the traditional waterwheel which is no optimal because they cannot channel the Gending river water to rice fields which have a higher elevation. The wheel pump can be maximized to channel Gending river water to rice fields with a higher elevation. Barsha pump from aQysta is the main reference used in the manufacture of hydropower pumps. The research used is a field study with testing tools to determine the performance of the wheel pump on the Gending River. The data sought in the testing tool are the cross-sectional area of the river, the average speed of the river, the river discharge, the discharge of the wheel pump force, and the maximum height that the pump can flow using regression analysis. The results of the study show that the parameter that affects the flow rate of the waterwheel pump is the speed of the river flow. The speed of the Gending river flow is 0.7874 m/s, this wheel pump can produce a maximum discharge of 12.7008 m3/day, while the maximum height that can be achieved by the wheel pump is 11.1148 m. The wheel pump can be maximized to channel Gending river water to rice fields that have a higher elevation.
