Abstract


Pakelan intersection that is located in Magelang Regency has an signalized  intersection to connect Gatot Soebroto street, Sarwo Edhie street, Magelang-Purworejo street and Mayor Human street. Based on the preliminary survey, the number of traffic delay in this intersection was 70 second for average in each vehicle, and the average of queue length was 250 m. The method which used on this study is Pedoman Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia (PKJI) 2014. The variables in this study are intersection geometric and traffic volume, and the tools which were used are counter, roll meter and stationary. The results of the existing analysis in 2020 obtained a degree of saturation of 1.25 cur/hour (F), which means that the vehicles just could be arriven at low speeds with long queue and large obstacles. After calculating, the degree of saturation of the intersection in 2025 is 1.49 (F). After the analysis, several alternative solutions were obtained, including first alternative adjustment of green time, 2nd alternative adjustment of green time and LE, 3rd alternative adjustment of the number of phases and 4th alternative adjustment of the number of phases and LE. From alternative-1, the degree of saturation value is 1.19 (F). From alternative-2, the degree of saturation value is 0.94 (E). From alternative-3, the degree of saturation value is 1.08 (F). From alternative-4, the value of the degree of saturation is 0.84 (D).
