ANALISA KOMPOSISI BAHAN PEMBUAT BATA INTERLOCK RINGAN (AIR, SEMEN, FOAM AGENT, PASIR MERAPI)

Abstract

Magelang regency is a region rich in natural resources, one of which is sand. The sand is a cold lava from Mount Merapi, because Mount Merapi is a mountain that is still active, so sand is available abundantly. The purpose of this study is to know the strong press of light bricks with merapi sand filler material.

The research began with a unit weight check, mud content, moisture content, and gradation testing, then mixed planning was carried out using mix design, conducting strong testing of light Interlock brick press on cylinder test objects referring to SNI 1974-2011, and density. The test results of the calculation are then carried out a simple analysis using the one way ANOVA analysis method.

Strong press test results obtained a strong compressed average value for composition 1:1.5:05:0.15 by 9.00 MPa, composition 1:1.75:05:0.15 by 7.64 MPa, composition 1:2:05:0.15 by 3.43 MPa, composition 1:2.25:05:0.15 by 3.21 MPa. The less the composition of the sand used, the stronger the press is greater, because the density is getting bigger. Conversely, the larger the composition of the sand used, the lower the stronger the pressure produced.
