AUDIT PENERANGAN JALAN UMUM DI JALAN JENDRAL SUDIRMAN KOTA MAGELANG

Abstract

Public street lighting that deviates from applicable standards can reduce the safety and comfort of those who pass through it. So an audit is needed to determine the value of lighting as an effort to improve safety and comfort on the road. The steps taken are to calculate the intensity of the beam and compare it with the city street lighting standard SNI 7391:2008 and calculate the need by sampling the type of installed equipment that meets the downlight replacement standard. The results of the audit of street lighting on Jalan Jendral Sudirman, Magelang City, of the 19 lights installed, there were 14 lamps whose light intensity was below the standard according to SNI 7391:2008, namely between 11-20lux and 5 which met the standard of SNI 7391:2008. Therefore, it is necessary to replace the lamp so that the street lighting on Jalan Jendral Sudirman, Magelang City meets the SNI 7391:2008 standard. The use of LED type lamps is better than HPS/SON-T lamps because of the longer lamp life and the higher cost of electricity usage.
