This journal was first published on May 6th, 1994 under the name "Transformatika: Media Informasi Komunikasi Ilmiah", Faculty of Education and Teacher Training, Universitas Tidar Magelang with ISSN number: 0854-8412 (print). With the ISSN, we (Faculty of Education and Teacher Training editorial team members) have published the journal up to Volume 12 Number 2, September 2016.

On February 17, 2017, we proposed new ISSN to LIPI for both print (p) and electronic (e) under a new name "Transformatika: Jurnal Bahasa, Sastra, dan Pengajarannya". The proposal is based on the new policy at Tidar University that centralizes the management to the level of the study program.

In March 2015, every issue consisted of 11 articles and therefore, every volume consisted 22 articles. In March 2016, every issue consists of 10 articles and therefore every volume consists of 20 articles. However, since March 2017, the policy was changed. Every issue consists of 8 articles so that the total number of the article per year is 16 articles. This change in article number per issue is aimed to accommodate more quality articles so that dissemination of knowledge and science from local to global will be much faster. The published pdf version is open to all authors and readers.

In September 2017, the old journal template has been modified. The genesis of journal manuscript has been added. Moreover, the journal cover has been changed. This change is aimed to improve the quality of the cover.

Since March 2018, Transformatika: Jurnal Bahasa, Sastra, dan Pengajarannya has used the new template. This change is aimed to improve the quality of the template, makes it easy for the author, and have high legibility.

In 2023, starting from Volume 7, Issue 2, the publication of Transformatika: Jurnal Bahasa, Sastra dan Pengajarannya will be scheduled 15 articles.

The journals have a policy of “Zero Tolerance on Plagiarism”. We recommend that authors check their articles with plagiarism prevention tools (ithenticate.com, turnitin.com, etc.) before submission.
